Definitions of Match-on-Action and Shot-reverse-shot
Match-on-Action
Cutting from one shot to another which matches the first shot action.
Shot-reverse-shot
Where one character is shown looking, then switching shots so the second character would be looking at the first, this would make the viewer assume the characters are looking at each other.
Eye line shot.
The viewer sees what the character is seeing, so it would be a shot of the character looking at something off screen then a shot of what ever they were looking at off screen.
