The first prop we discussed was a old aged looking book, as a group we decided that our main inspiration for our opening sequence was the opening sequence of 'SE7EN'. We all agreed that the book give a large aspect of mystery to the opening sequence of 'SE7EN' as the audience would be unaware what the book entails or the reasoning for it being there.
Another prop we have decided on are scissors. Scissors are commonly known objects which most people would be familiar with, scissors although seem like quite a innocent not very dangerous object have a sense of danger as are sharp, this could make the audience feel pretty uncomfortable.
A third prop we decided would look effective and link into our genre of a psychological thriller, would be if we created our own Polaroid pictures which we could write on and make look as if someone had targeted those people specifically. We chose to use our own photos of people as this would show the originality of our work as we took the time to take the photos and paint on them ourselves.
To make the pictures we chose look more creepy, and make the audience feel more uncomfortable we used dark red paint, we painted all over the faces and wrote things under them, this would make the audience question the protagonist about why they hate these people so much and who are these people are? The majority of our opening title sequence is in black and white or very dull looking colours so the use of the red would stand out, adding a splash of colour to the opening titles.
